Rare, orphan or low-prevalence diseases will be in the news next November when for the first time in Colombia and the third time in South America, the XI World Congress of Cornelia de Lange will be held in Bogotá.

Medical experts from countries including the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Spain, the United States and Colombia will be present to speak with patients, their families and other health professionals from all specialties who manage patients with orphan diseases. About 400 participants are expected to attend more than 30 conferences.

A rich thematic agenda, as well as workshops for parents, family and caregivers will be available to reinforce and strengthen the approach to orphan diseases such as Cdls and reduce the emotional burden on those close to patients. Moreover, the event will have a recreational area designed for our honored guests: patients with Cornelia de Lange or other related pathologies.
